This is my absolute favorite time of year!!! I love the cooler weather and all the Holidays coming up. I feel more festive every year and can't wait to see pumpkins everywhere. It just puts me in the best mood. We have been playing outside finally now that is isn't so hot. I love watching Parker explore the outdoors. He walked on grass for the first time, rode in his sisters Jeep, walks up and down the driveway with me to check the mail. It is a whole new world for him.
The kids are both doing amazing in school. Parker doesn't even cry now when I drop him off and Rylee has really come out of her shell. Something happened in the past 2 months and she is much more talkative at school and not hiding behind my leg when we are around crowds. She is had show-in-tell last week and she got to fill a box with 4 things that started with the letter B. She had to get up in front of her class and talk about the things in her box. She picked a Barbie (go figure), ballet shoe, picture of her "brother" and picture of a bird (my dad and Sherry's bird Sonny).
We took the kids to their very first Astros game a few weeks ago. I was a little worried about taking Parker but it actually went pretty good. He sat with us in the seats for about 4 innings and then we took turns walking around with him. He was wide eyed the whole time. Rylee did great and already wants to go to another game. She was very disappointed that nobody hit a home run and she didn't get to see the train go. We didn't have the heart to tell her that right when we got in the car they hit one. :( It is funny because now she will sit under the entry way table (JP right along her side) and pretend they are at the Astros game. She will "call" me on my phone and tell me about the game and who is winning. Too cute.
Parker is really becoming more vocal. He is trying to say words and communicate with us. He is giving lots of 5 fives, hugs, kisses, blowing kisses, waving bye bye and pointing at things he wants.he says "Mama" all the time which I LOVE. He is obsessed with the trash can. He keeps trying to throw ALL sorts of things away...toys, shoes, whatever he has in his hands. Rylee is so sweet and will hand him some of her snacks when he wants them. She is totally aware of what he can and can't have or can and can't do to the point where she is my spy and will yell "Mommmm, Parker is putting something little in his mouth", or "Mommmm, Parker is putting too many goldfish in his mouth". She wants to hold his hand and show him things and play with him. They are actually playing together pretty well these days which is SO nice.
We have really been enjoying spending family time together. Now that Parker is a little older it is fun for us to all pile up in our bedroom and just play. I love the little family the 4 of us have become and it is so cool to know that we will always be here for each even when other people are not. I guess that is what family is... being there for each other and loving unconditionally even through our faults.
Rylee said "Mom, I want Tinker Bell to come and make all my Barbies and Polly Pockets alive". Ok that just creeps me out ;)
Forgive my blog site while it is under construction. I had a really cute background on here but half of the people that follow me couldn't view it so I had to remove it. Still trying to figure out what the deal is.
PS keep Adam's Paw Paw Jasper in your prayers. He had a stroke a few weeks ago and is not recovering like we had hoped. He has not made much progress in the rehab facility and now will have to move into a nursing home possibly indefinitely. Please pray for him to gain his motor skills back and be able to move back into the lifestyle he was accustom to.
