Amazing

I don't know if I say it enough but our kids are just amazing.  They each have their own personalities and I really feel so lucky to be their mom.  What a blessing!  I hope that they always love me as much as they love me now and never move far away from me ;)
Rylee has been going to Vacation Bible School this week.  She LOVES it.  Everyday she comes home and is singing one of the songs they learned or telling me a story she heard.  She actually wants to go everyday which is different than the VBS we did at the beginning of the summer. Now we just have to find something to keep her busy the whole month of August. Rylee and I got to have a Mother/Daughter day today after I picked her up from VBS.  We went to lunch at Chuys then to the new Children's Museum in The Woodlands.  We also stopped for ice cream and went to pick out a new school outfit.  It was so nice to devote 100% of me to her. We had such a great time!
Parker is such a sweet little man. I am pretty positive he is a big ole Mama's boy.  He will lay his head on my shoulder, give me hugs and even kisses.  His personality is really shiningg through now and he is quite the little funny man. He will do things that are silly and once he hears us laugh he keeps doing it over and over.  I am impressed with how smart he is to know at 11 months that something he is doing is funny.  He has been sleeping a little better through the night now (probably shouldn't say that because I will jinx it).  He had 2 nights from 8pm to 7am.  YEA.  Hopefully he keeps it up!!!
PS sorry but my blog page is sort of ugly right now... it is under construction!

Mid July?

How in the world is it already the middle of July?  The first part of summer flew!  Parker is going to be a year in 1 month!!! Holly cow.  I don't even think we are going to have a birthday party for him.  I feel so bad but we have a lot going on the weekends surrounding August 17th. Maybe we will celebrate when we go to Comfort to visit my dad and Sherry on the 21st.  Rylee had a HUGE bash for her 1st b-day however we only had 3 friends with kids at the time and they were all around 1 year or younger.  NOW all the kids we know are older and we just did the whole bouncy house kid party a few months ago for Rylee.  Hopefully he won't think he got cheated when he is older and says "why didn't you have a huge party for me when I turned 1"???
Parker is so BUSY! For instance even as I am trying to type this blog I have had to get up to stop him from getting into something 3 times and I am only on the second paragraph!  Must move computer to bedroom so we are in safe zone. He tries to pull up on the chairs at the breakfast table (as I watch them start to lift off the ground about to crash on top of him), or goes to the fire place and hangs on the wire mesh net, or pulls on the curtains or tries to play with whatever it is Rylee has (which she just LOVES let me tell you) and is constantly trying to mess with Tucker. He thinks Tucker is super great but I don't think the feeling is mutual ;)  I am constantly picking Parker up and moving him away from whatever he is into over and over ALL DAY LONG.  God forbid I sit down.  :) Maybe it is a boy thing.
Parker is dancing now when he hears music, clapping his hands and bouncing up and down.  It is so cute!  He also points at things, waves, says mama and dada.  I think he says "sis" for Rylee "dat" when he points.  He is also cruising all around and holding on with one hand only when he stands. He eats anything we give him and also likes to mash it into his tray and throw food at Tucker (which makes him crack up laughing).  You would think Tucker would be Parker's BFF after all the food he gives him.  When Parker runs out of food and wants more he high pitch screams at me. Maybe I should really work on the whole sign language thing with him!
Rylee has just been an angel.  I feel so bad for her because she is home with Parker and I all day during the summer and she is so bored.  There are so many things I wish I could take her to do but it would be next to impossible to do with JP in tow.  Everyday she asks "mommy can we go somewhere"?  It is sad when she gets excited about going to the gym with me or Walmart! I don't get to give as much attention to her as I want and it makes me very very sad.  Hopefully it will get better once Parker starts walking.
This weekend we are going to visit my old boss Kelli and her family in Austin.  I am really looking forward to it.  I know the kids will have fun because they have 7 and 10 year old little girls who LOVE babies.  :)

Rylee's dance party

Our fire place is her "stage". She can do this for hours! :)
